The game begins with your character, a young boy, being taken to Professor Oak’s lab to be given a starter Pokemon. You are then free to explore the town of Pallet Town and begin your journey to become a Pokemon Master. Along the way, you will encounter many different Pokemon, battle them in battle, and collect items to help you on your way. You will also need to watch out for wild Pokemon, as they can be dangerous if not handled correctly. The game culminates with you taking on the Elite Four and becoming the new Pokemon Champion..
