Legend of Zelda, The – Collector’s Edition is an action-adventure video game for the Nintendo GameCube. It is the sixth installment in the Legend of Zelda series and was developed by Eiji Aonuma and directed by Shigeru Miyamoto. The game was released in Japan on December 12, 2002, in North America on November 17, 2003, and in Europe on November 21, 2003. The game is a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past. It is set in the same world of Hyrule, but a hundred years after the events of A Link to the Past. The game features a new story and a new cast of characters. The game is played from a third-person perspective and features a combination of traditional role-playing game mechanics and action-adventure game elements. The player controls Link as he explores Hyrule and fights enemies, solves puzzles, and collects items to progress through the game. The game features a world map and a day and night cycle. The Collector’s Edition of the game includes a CD containing music from the game, a book containing artwork and a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development, and a GameCube game disc.
