The game begins with the player’s character, Buck, waking up in a hospital bed. Buck is told by the doctor that he has been in a coma for six months and that he has a 50/50 chance of making a full recovery. Buck is given a choice to either stay in the hospital and wait for his recovery or to leave and try to find his way back home. Buck chooses to leave and begins his journey back home.
