The year is 20XX. Dr. Wily, the mastermind behind many of the world’s most dangerous robots, has created a new and improved model: Mega Man X. To counter this new threat, the world’s leading robot fighting organization, the Maverick Hunters, assembles a team of the world’s best Mega Man X warriors to stop Wily. The game begins with Mega Man X fighting his way through a series of challenging stages, each one more difficult than the last.
