The game is set in the time of the Roman Republic, and follows the story of two Roman generals, Gaius Julius Caesar and Marcus Licinius Crassus, as they wage war on one another for control of Rome. The game’s main focus is on the strategic and tactical aspects of warfare, with the player controlling armies and fleets to conquer territory and defeat enemies. Shadow of Rome was met with mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the game’s graphics and the depth of its gameplay, while others found the game’s interface and battle system to be cumbersome and unenjoyable.
