Tales of Legendia is an action role-playing video game developed by Namco Bandai Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. It is the fifth game in the Tales series, and is based on the Tales of Symphonia game engine. The game was announced at the PlayStation 2 Media Showcase at the Tokyo Game Show on September 20, 2003, and was released in Japan on December 5, 2003. A European release followed on May 2, 2004. A North American release was announced at the E3 2004 video game trade show, but was cancelled before release. The game is set on the world of Tellius, which is being attacked by the God of Darkness, Zephiel. The player controls a party of three characters, each with their own unique abilities, and must defeat Zephiel to save the world.
