In the Whiplash game, you play as Andrew, a young jazz drummer who is trying to make it big. He’s been playing in local bars for years, but he’s never had a chance to make it big. One day, he gets a call from a famous jazz drummer named Fletcher who says he wants to audition Andrew. Andrew is nervous, but he goes to the audition. Fletcher tells him he’s not good enough, but Andrew doesn’t give up. He practices harder and harder, and eventually he becomes good enough to play with Fletcher. But Fletcher isn’t happy with him. He says he’s not a real jazz drummer, and he wants Andrew to leave. Andrew is devastated, but he decides to go back to playing in local bars. He’s happy that he’s able to make a living doing what he loves, but he’s never forgotten what Fletcher said to him..
